District Admin Bandipora organises Awareness Programmes under NashaMukt Abhiyan

Bandipora:As part of the ongoing NashaMukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyan, the District Administration Bandipora organised a series of drug awareness programmes across educational institutions in the district, aimed at sensitising students about the harmful effects of substance abuse.

The programmes featured screening of awareness films, short videos and documentaries in PM SHRI HSS Shadipora, GHS Hajin, HSS PTL Gurez, HSS Nowgam, HS Jurniyal, HS Ketson, HS Odina, HSS Chuntimulla, HSS Hajin, HS Achoora, GHS Nadihal, HSS Mantrigam, GHSS GadakhudSonawari, HS Panar, Government High School Ahamisharief, HS Kanzalwan, PM SHRI GHS Sumbal, HS Kehnusa, HS Tarabal and HS Malangam.

The films highlighted the physical, psychological and social consequences of drug abuse, including its impact on health, families and society.

Students actively participated in discussions, listened to awareness talks by teachers, also took pledges to remain drug-free.

Similarly, Government Degree College Sumbal organised an awareness talk and an interactive session under the NashaMukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyan (Dosti Initiative). The awareness session sensitised students about the harmful physical, psychological and social effects of substance abuse, while emphasising the role of positive peer influence and informed choices.

Meanwhile, interactive session was conducted, wherein students actively engaged in discussions on drug-related concerns and their wider societal impact.

The initiative, conducted under the 100-day IEC campaign, encouraged students to adopt healthy lifestyles, report suspicious activities and act as ambassadors for a drug-free society, reaffirming the district administration’s commitment to tackling the menace of drug abuse.
