RAMBAN, APRIL 18: Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan, along with Senior Superintendent of Police Arun Gupta today held an interaction with prominent citizens and religious leaders of the district to discuss issues related to communal harmony, peace and social responsibility.

The meeting was attended by ADC Varunjeet Singh Charak, Additional SP Mujeeb-Ur-Rehman, Dy. SP Hqr Waqar Bhat and other senior officers. During the interaction, the Deputy Commissioner and SSP appreciated the people of Ramban for their age-old tradition of communal harmony, unity and brotherhood, which has been a hallmark of the district.

Highlighting the importance of sustained peace, both officers urged the participants to continue fostering mutual respect and understanding among different communities. They emphasized that collective efforts of citizens, especially religious leaders and influencers, play a crucial role in maintaining law and order and strengthening social cohesion.

Seeking active support of the participants in the ongoing “100 Day Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan”, the Deputy Commissioner emphasised the significant role of community stakeholders in making the campaign successful. He called upon the participants to actively spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and encourage youth to adopt a healthy and responsible lifestyle.

Stressing the need for a united approach, the Deputy Commissioner urged religious leaders to use their platforms to sensitize the masses against drug abuse and promote positive values among the youth. He reiterated that the administration is committed to eradicating the menace of drugs and ensuring a safe and progressive society.

The participants assured full cooperation to the administration in supporting all public welfare initiatives in the district.

ADC Bhaderwah conducts surprise inspection of government offices, warns against irregularity

BHADERWAH, APRIL 18: The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Bhaderwah Sunil Kumar Bhutyal, conducted a surprise inspection of several government offices to assess the regularity and punctuality of employees. The visit aimed to ensure proper attendance and the availability of officials during working hours.

During the inspection, the ADC thoroughly checked attendance records and verified the presence of staff members. He emphasized strict adherence to office timings and issued clear directions that no employee should leave the office before the prescribed time frame.

The ADC also issued a stern warning to all employees, stating that any negligence in duty or violation of office discipline would be dealt with strictly. He urged officials to maintain professionalism and accountability in public service.

The inspection was carried out in multiple offices, including the CDPO Office, Fisheries Office, Agriculture Office, Horticulture Office and the Tehsildar Office. The Naib Tehsildar Bhaderwah accompanied the ADC during the visit.

The move has been seen as a step towards improving efficiency, discipline and transparency in government functioning across the subdivision.
