DC Srinagar launches revamped Official District Website

 Says “Aim is to enhance accessibility, transparency, citizen-centric information sharing”

 

Srinagar :In a step towards strengthening digital governance and enhancing public service related transparency & information sharing , the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, AkshayLabroo, Wednesday  formally launched the revamped Official website of District Srinagar here at Conference Hall of the DC Office.

The upgraded digital platform has been designed to provide a more user-friendly, accessible and efficient interface for citizens, ensuring seamless access to government services, information, and updates.

The initiative reflects the District Administration’s continued commitment to leveraging technology for transparent, accountable, and citizen-centric governance.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized that the revamped website marks an attempt in improving communication between the administration and the public. He highlighted that the platform has been redesigned with improved navigation, better-organized content and enhanced readability, enabling citizens to easily access key services and vital information.

He further stated that the integration of real-time updates, including social media feeds, will ensure timely dissemination of information and keep the public informed about government initiatives, programs and district-level developments.

Underscoring the importance of sustainability and relevance of digital platforms, the DC stressed the need for regular updates and continuous improvements based on user feedback. He encouraged departments to actively contribute to maintaining the platform as a dynamic and responsive information hub.

The DC also appreciated the efforts of the National Informatics Centre (NIC) District Srinagar led by DIO, Shahnaz Nayeem and ADIO, Syed Mujadid and their entire team for their dedicated work in upgrading and modernizing the website. He urged them to continue innovating and developing more digital solutions aimed at improving governance and service delivery.

The event also saw participation of Additional District Development Commissioner Rifat Aftab Qureshi, Additional Deputy Commissioner Mir Imtiyaz Ul Aziz, Chief Planning Officer Fayaz Ahmad Dar, SDM West Irfan Bahadur, SDM East Zubair Ahmad, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Umar Gulzar, District Informatics Officer (NIC) Shahnaz Nayeem, ADIO Syed Mujadid and other Officers.
