Apni Party President Altaf Bukhari on Saturday called upon the people of Jammu & Kashmir to actively contribute towards the success of the 100-day ‘Nasha Mukt’ campaign, stating that collective efforts are crucial to curb the growing drug menace in the region.
In a post on social media, Bukhari said that with a significant number of youth already falling prey to substance abuse and many more at risk, the campaign launched today comes at a critical juncture and is both timely and essential.
He urged every citizen to play a proactive role in ensuring the success of the initiative, emphasizing that safeguarding the younger generation must remain a shared responsibility.
Bukhari also commended Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha for announcing stringent punitive measures against drug smugglers, including cancellation of passports and Aadhaar cards, as well as attachment of properties.
“Such firm actions are necessary to break the backbone of the drug network and protect our youth,” he said, while expressing full support for the administration’s efforts.
He further appealed to the people to unite and make the anti-drug campaign a success, stressing that a collective resolve is key to eliminating the menace from society.
