Jammu :The second day of the ongoing three-day Divisional Level Awareness Programme unfolded across the length and breadth of Jammu division with a remarkable confluence of creativity, participation and civic consciousness, as schools transformed into vibrant arenas of dialogue and expression.
A diverse array of activities, including poster making, slogan writing, essay writing, awareness sessions and thematic lecture etc were organised in institutions across districts, each serving as a microcosm of the larger societal resolve against pressing concerns such as drug abuse, mental health stigma, environmental neglect and road safety.
Students, in particular, emerged not merely as participants but as articulate voices of change, channeling their ideas through colour, language and reason, imbuing the campaign with both immediacy and depth.
What lent further gravitas to the proceedings was the active involvement of public representatives, government functionaries, subject experts, parents and members of civil society, whose presence elevated these engagements from routine school activities to meaningful community interventions. The programme, thus, transcended institutional boundaries and assumed the character of a collective civic movement.
At the district level, the seamless execution of activities was ensured under the supervision of Chief Education Officers, working in close coordination with the concerned Joint Directors and Personnel Officer, DSEJ, Manisha, whose organisational oversight lent coherence and direction to the multi-layered initiative.
The entire divisional endeavour continues to be steered under the guidance and supervision of Director School Education Jammu, Dr. Naseem Javaid Chowdhary, whose emphasis on participatory awareness has sought to reposition educational spaces as catalysts of social transformation.
As the programme advances towards its culmination, Day Two stands as a testament to the quiet yet potent power of informed engagement, where awareness is not merely disseminated, but lived, expressed and collectively owned.
