Reasi :To assess arrangements for the smooth conduct of the Shri Shiv Khori Yatra, a comprehensive joint security review of the Shrine and its adjoining areas was conducted today at Ransoo.
The review was carried out under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Kumar Abhishek along with Senior Superintendent of Police Mukund Tibrewal.
During the review, peripheral security arrangements around the shrine and nearby areas were thoroughly assessed to ensure a robust and multi-layered security framework for pilgrims. The officers present also reviewed the overall deployment, preparedness of security forces and coordination mechanisms among different agencies to ensure effective security management and timely response to any exigencies.
Meanwhile, the district administration has decided to further improve Yatra management and related facilities. In view of the improved arrangements, the Yatra timing from Domail – Pouni has been extended, with the pilgrimage now commencing daily at 7:00 AM. Further, daylight Yatra timings have also been extended at the shrine to facilitate smoother movement of pilgrims and ensure effective crowd management.
The District Administration reiterated its commitment to ensuring the safety, convenience, and seamless experience of all devotees visiting the shrine. It was emphasized that all concerned departments and agencies will continue to work in close coordination for efficient regulation, monitoring, and management of the Yatra.
Among others present included Additional Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Kumar, Additional Superintendent of Police Iftekhar Ahmed, Tehsildar Pouni, officials from Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), and other concerned officers.
