DDC Ramban reviews implementation of key rural development schemes

Srinagar :District Development Commissioner Ramban  Mohammad Alyas Khan today chaired a review meeting to assess the progress of  under the Rural Development Department schemes including PMAY-G, District Capex Budget, CDF, SDRF, SBM-G, Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan, MGNREGA and pendency in E-KYC and Aadhaar Seeding.

The meeting was attended by ADC Varunjeet Singh Charak; CPO Dr.Shakeeb Ahmed Rather; ACR Shoket Hayat Mattoo;  ACD RambanSheraz Ahmed Chouhan; SDM  Ramsoo Syed Muzahair Hussain Shah; SDM Banihal Mohammad NaseebBajraan;  SDM Gool Imtiaz Ahmed;  Tehsildars; BDOs, district and sectoral officers of other concerned departments.

The DDC reviewed the physical and financial progress of works being executed under different schemes. He directed the Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) and Block Development Officers (BDOs) to expedite the execution and ensure their timely completion which could not be completed during the financial year for certain reasons.

While reviewing the progress under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Gramin (PMAY-G), the DDC directed the concerned officers to clear all pending cases and ensure that the sanctioned houses are completed within the stipulated time frame. He also instructed the Tehsildars and BDOs to closely monitor the works falling under their respective jurisdictions.

Reviewing the formulation of District Capex Budget 2026-27, the DDC directed the ACD to organise Gram Panchayat meetings and prioritize the works identified and approved by the Gram Panchayats so that development initiatives reflect local needs and aspirations.

The DDC further emphasized effective monitoring, timely verification, and proper implementation of all rural development schemes to ensure maximum benefit reaches the people at the grassroots level.
