Srinagar : Police intensified its anti-drug operations across Kashmir, arresting several peddlers in Sopore and Budgam and recovering contraband substances including charas and ganja.
In a major crackdown on narco-financing, police also attached properties worth lakhs in Shopian and Anantnag, including residential houses and a vehicle acquired through proceeds of drug trafficking under the NDPS Act. Additionally, seized narcotics were destroyed in Sopore following due legal procedures. Police reiterated their zero-tolerance policy against drugs and called for public cooperation.
