Jammu | April, 08: MLA Jammu East, Yudhvir Sethi, on Tuesday visited GGM Science College to review ongoing developmental works and assess the academic and infrastructural progress of the institution.
During the visit, Principal Romesh Kumar Gupta briefed the MLA about various completed and ongoing development initiatives on the campus, highlighting improvements made in academic facilities and infrastructure under recent plans.
Inspecting the classroom block of the heritage building, the MLA directed executing agencies to expedite renovation work, stressing the urgent need for modernization to meet contemporary educational requirements.
Interacting with faculty members, Sethi appreciated the institution’s academic achievements and infrastructural advancements. He expressed satisfaction over the progress made under the leadership of the Principal and assured full support for initiatives aimed at strengthening infrastructure and enhancing the teaching–learning environment.
Officials from the PWD R&B Department, including Executive Engineers from Gandhinagar and Bakshi Nagar divisions, were also present. Engineer Sandeep Gupta from the Bakshi Nagar wing stated that renovation work in the heritage block would be completed within six months, while Engineer Sarfaraz Ahmed from the Gandhinagar wing said that most works under their division have been completed, with minor works pending due to fund release.
The visit concluded with a renewed commitment from all stakeholders to further develop and modernize the college, ensuring better facilities for students and faculty.
