Srinagar : The Rouble Nagi Art Foundation (RNAF), led by founder Rouble Nagi on Tuesday inaugurated three new computer centres in Kashmir, enhancing its commitment to digital education and youth empowerment. This initiative follows the foundation’s recent announcement to broaden technological access in the region. Over the past three years, RNAF has established multiple computer centres across the Kashmir Valley, significantly advancing digital inclusion.
The new centres are located at the Islamic Educational Institute in Sangam, Eidgah in Srinagar, Soliah School in Narbal, Budgam, and Mehboob-ul-Alam Public School in Bandgam, Budgam. Rouble Nagi, a recipient of the Global Teachers Prize 2026, engaged with students and faculty during her visits, emphasizing the foundation’s mission to bridge the digital divide and provide equitable learning opportunities. In her address, Nagi underscored the importance of digital literacy in today’s fast-paced world, stating that familiarity with emerging technologies, especially Artificial Intelligence (AI), is essential for future readiness. She articulated that computer education is a foundational pillar that enables students to connect with global knowledge systems, enhance problem-solving skills, and actively participate in the digital economy. Furthermore, she highlighted that integrating technology into education promotes innovation, creativity, and self-reliance among young learners, particularly in historically underserved regions.
