Washington, April 7 : As the deadline for military action against Tehran approaches, US President Donald Trump has issued a series of provocative statements suggesting a monumental shift in the geopolitical landscape.
Taking to his Truth Social platform, Trump warned of the potential for unprecedented destruction while simultaneously hinting at a transition of power within Iran.
Trump wrote, “A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will.”.
He further stated that with what he described as “complete and total regime change,” there could be an opportunity for “different, smarter, and less radicalized minds” to take charge, raising the possibility of a “revolutionarily wonderful” outcome.
Trump termed the moment as “one of the most important” in global history, claiming that “47 years of extortion, corruption, and death will finally end,” while extending his wishes to the people of Iran.
