According to a traffic update issued at 0900 hours, restoration efforts are underway on the affected stretch, and no movement of vehicles has been permitted from either side. Officials said no traffic shall be allowed from Jammu towards Ramban, Banihal, and Srinagar, and vice versa, until the road is fully restored.
Commuters have been advised to plan their travel accordingly and avoid unnecessary movement on the highway. Authorities also urged the public not to pay heed to rumours and instead rely on official updates.
