Noida, : The V.V. Giri National Labour Institute (VVGNLI) is hosting an international training programme on “Leadership for 21st Century Professionals” under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) programme of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, from March 30 to April 7.
The programme has brought together professionals from multiple countries and diverse institutional backgrounds to strengthen leadership capacities in an increasingly interconnected global environment.
As part of the training, Rizwan Uddin, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-I and Chief Learning Officer at PDUNASS, conducted sessions on goal setting and team building. Officials said the programme involved complex coordination, given the diversity of participants and time-bound nature of activities alongside parallel engagements such as cultural events and official interactions.
Participants were divided into four teams comprising members from different countries and cultural backgrounds. Each team undertook assigned tasks designed to test collaboration, communication and leadership skills. In one of the key exercises, teams prepared dishes using limited resources in a fireless environment within a stipulated time.
Despite constraints, all teams met the expected standards, showcasing effective teamwork, task distribution and interpersonal coordination. The prepared items were later displayed before senior officials, including VVGNLI Director General Dr Arvind.
Course Director Otojit Kshetrimayum and faculty member Ms Joy facilitated the activities. Participants from Tunisia, Sri Lanka, Ghana and Tajikistan were among those acknowledged for their active engagement.
