Pulwama : Police on Friday said that it has arrested a drug peddler and also recovered contraband substance from his possession as part of its anti-narcotics drive.
In a statement issued here on Friday Police said that a police team at a checkpoint in the Eid Gah area intercepted a suspected and during search recovered approximately 52 grams of charas-like substance from his possession. The accused was identified as Anayatullah Makdoomi of Drasoo.
A case under FIR No. 46/2026 has been registered at Police Station Pulwama, and further investigation is underway. In its statement Police appealed people to assist in curbing drug abuse by sharing information about such activities.
