Pulwama :  Dr. Ajay Shanker Singh, Principal Chief Controller of Accounts at the Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday  inaugurated the PHQ Budget Allocation Software (PBAS) at PCR Kashmir, marking a significant step towards enhancing financial governance within Police Headquarters. The PBAS platform is designed to streamline budget allocation, monitoring, and utilization, reflecting a commitment to technology-driven solutions that improve operational efficiency.

The inaugural event was attended by senior officials, including DGP J&K Nalin Prabhat and other high-ranking officers, some of whom participated via video conference. Speaking on the occasion Dr. Singh underscored the critical role of digital platforms in promoting transparency, accuracy, and real-time financial oversight, asserting that such systems are vital for strengthening governance and optimizing public resource usage. DGP Nalin Prabhat emphasized the importance of modern financial management systems in boosting institutional efficiency and accountability within the police force. A detailed presentation and live demonstration of the PBAS software were conducted by Shri Shakeel Maqbool, who highlighted its key features and functionalities. He noted that the implementation of PBAS aligns with the broader vision of digital transformation, facilitating efficient planning and monitoring of budgetary resources while reducing delays and manual errors. The event concluded with DGP J&K presenting a memento to Dr. Singh as a gesture of appreciation, followed by a vote of thanks from ADGP Headquarters J&K M.K. Sinha
