Rs 93.77 cr earmarked for construction of sports stadiums in J&K: Satish Sharma

Jammu: An amount of Rs. 93.77 crore has been earmarked for construction of sports stadiums in various areas of Jammu and Kashmir.

This information was given by Minister for Youth Service and Sports, Satish Sharma, in the House Wednesday  while replying to a question raised by Legislator Muzaffar Iqbal Khan. Legislators Sajjad Shaheen, Balwant Singh Mankotia and R. S Pathania raised the supplementaries to the question

 

Master Plan being formulated for Bhaderwah Development Authority: Govt

 

The Tourism department is formulating a comprehensive Master Plan for Bhaderwah Development Authority (BDA), which is currently underway.

 

This was stated by Minister for Health and Medical Education SakeenaItoo, in the House Wednesday , while replying to a question raised by Legislator Shakti Raj Parihar on behalf of MLA Daleep Singh regarding Municipal Committee Bhaderwah. She was replying on behalf of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah.

 

She informed that the Tourism department is in the process of initiating a time-bound exercise for formulation/revision of Master Plans for various Tourism Development Authorities, including the Bhaderwah Development Authority for incorporating updated planning and development requirements.

 

The Minister also gave out that the Municipal Committee Bhaderwah is not facing dearth of funds regarding construction/renovation of lanes/footpaths and drains in its 13 Wards.

 

She also said that the existing Master Plans shall remain in force until they are lawfully revised or replaced, thereby ensuring continuity in planning control and regulated development.
