Baramulla, 02 April 2026:Continuing its sustained crackdown against drug trafficking, B Police on Thursday said to have attached one Alto-800 vehicle bearing registration number JK05K-7701in North Kashmir’s Baramulla.

A Police spokesperson said that the vehicle is linked to Abdul Ahad Magray S/o Gh. Mohi-ud-Din Magray R/o Sharai, who is involved in FIR No. 55/2014 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act, 48 Excise Act of PS Kunzer and FIR No. 74/2024 U/S 8/18-29 NDPS Act.

During investigation, it surfaced that the said vehicle had been purchased from proceeds generated through the illicit sale of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. In order to conceal the actual ownership, the vehicle was registered in the name of his son.

Abdul Ahad Magray is a habitual offender involved in drug peddling, whose repeated illegal activities have contributed to the spread of drug abuse, particularly among the youth, posing a serious threat to society.

The attachment of the vehicle sends a strong message that Baramulla Police is committed to dismantling the drug network and depriving offenders of assets acquired through illegal means. Police reiterates its resolve to continue strict action against drug peddlers and appeals to the general public to cooperate in eradicating the menace of drugs.
