Jammu: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday expressed deep anguish over the tragic loss of young lives in a drowning incident in the River Tawi near Nagrota.
The Lieutenant Governor spoke to senior officials and reviewed the ongoing search and rescue operations being carried out in the area.
Describing the incident as heart-wrenching, he conveyed his condolences to the affected families. “The loss of young lives is deeply painful. My heartfelt sympathies are with the bereaved families. We stand in solidarity with them during this difficult time,” he said.
Officials said rescue efforts are underway as teams continue to search the river following the incident.
