At least 246 women and 233 children have been killed in US-Israeli attacks across Iran, an Iranian government spokeswoman said on Monday.
According to Press TV, Fatemeh Mohajerani said that 17 children under the age of 5 were among those killed.
The US-Israeli strikes have also caused material damage to properties, she said.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Health Ministry also reported on Monday that the provinces of Tehran and Hormozgan have recorded the highest number of casualties.
The ministry also said that 24,742 Iranians were injured in the war and discharged from hospitals after receiving treatment.
The injured included 4,255 women, 1,767 children under eight, 17 children under five, and 63 children under two years old, according to the statement.
The ministry further said that 727 people remain hospitalised, adding that 986 surgical operations have been performed on the injured since the start of the aggression.
According to the report, 24 health workers have so far lost their lives and 114 have been wounded in the war.
The war also damaged 51 emergency centres, 41 treatment centres, and 199 health centres. Moreover, six hospitals have been evacuated, and 40 ambulances have also been damaged in US-Israeli strikes.
The US and Israel started a fresh round of aerial aggression on Iran on February 28, some eight months after they carried out unprovoked attacks on the country. The attacks led to the martyrdom of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
Iran began to swiftly retaliate against the strikes by launching barrages of missiles and drone attacks on the Israeli-occupied territories as well as on US bases and interests in regional countries.
