Jammu: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday spoke to senior officials and reviewed the ongoing rescue and relief operations following the avalanche at Zojila in Ganderbal district.
During the interaction, the Lieutenant Governor directed officials to ensure the safety of stranded persons and provide all possible assistance to those affected by the incident. He emphasised the need for swift and coordinated response efforts to manage the situation on the ground.
Expressing grief over the tragedy, the Lieutenant Governor extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
“Deeply pained by the loss of precious lives due to the tragic avalanche at Zojila. My heart goes out to the bereaved families in this hour of grief. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured,” he said.
Officials said rescue and relief operations are underway, with teams working to assist those impacted and ensure timely support in the affected area.
