Ramban :Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan Monday chaired a meeting to review the stock position and supply of essential petroleum products across the district.

The DC assessed the availability of petrol, diesel & LPG and to review preparedness for maintaining normal and uninterrupted supplies in all areas of the district.

Assistant Director FCS&CA Ramban, Niamatullah Sheikh along with concerned officers and officials and representatives of Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited attended the meeting.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the Assistant Director FCS&CA and TSOs to conduct regular monitoring of the sale and stock position of LPG, besides carrying out inspections of LPG sale counters.

The Assistant Director FCS&CA informed the chair that adequate stocks of petrol, diesel and LPG are available in the district and that supplies are continuing smoothly without any disruption.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized maintaining constant coordination among officers and oil company representatives to ensure timely replenishment and smooth distribution of supplies. He further directed the AD FCS&CA and other officers to maintain strict vigilance against hoarding, black-marketing and overcharging of petroleum products and LPG cylinders.

The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the progress of e-KYC of LPG connections and directed representatives of LPG companies to complete the remaining targets at the earliest. Officials of the FCS&CA Department were instructed to extend full support to LPG dealers in reaching out to left-out connection holders.

The DC further directed SDMs and other officers to maintain strict vigilance against black-marketing, or overcharging of petroleum products and LPG cylinders. Legal Metrology and enforcement teams were instructed to intensify inspections at fuel stations and LPG outlets to ensure compliance with regulations and protection of consumer interests.

During the day, enforcement teams inspected around 19 fuel stations and LPG outlets to ensure proper distribution and to check any instances of hoarding or black-marketing.
