DC Ramban reviews functioning of Rev Deptt

Ramban :Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan, Monday chaired a meeting of revenue officers to review the functioning and performance of the department across the district. The meeting focused on assessing the progress of various revenue-related initiatives and ensuring the timely disposal of public grievances.

The meeting was attended by Sub-Divisional Magistrate Ramsoo, Sayed Mazahir Hussain Shah and virtually by SDM Banihal, Mohammad NaseebBajraan, besides Tehsildars and other concerned revenue officers.

The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the progress under the Revenue Capex Budget and directed officers to ensure 100% physical and financial achievement, fixing responsibility in case of delays in any project.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner conducted a comprehensive review of the progress achieved in the digitization of Jamabandies and directed officers to complete the rectification of errors by March 31, 2026.

The DC also reviewed the status of camps organized for receiving grievances related to revenue records and directed officers to submit details of total grievances received, rectified and pending. He further instructed them to intensify such camps in their respective jurisdictions to ensure prompt redressal of genuine public issues. Reviewing the updation of backlog mutations, the DC directed the concerned officers to expedite the process and clear all pending cases at the earliest.

The meeting also assessed the status of land transfer cases to various departments for the construction of official infrastructure. The Deputy Commissioner asked officers to process such cases on priority to facilitate timely development of public infrastructure.

He further directed officers to clear all CLU cases within the stipulated timeline and instructed Tehsildars to accelerate the Digital Crop Survey in their respective tehsils. The DC also directed officers to clear reports under Section 27 of the Land Revenue Act.

The Deputy Commissioner directed SDMs and Tehsildars to resolve all public grievances related to basic amenities in a time-bound manner.  He emphasized maintaining transparency, accountability and efficiency in revenue administration and directed officers to work with dedication to provide hassle-free services to the public.
