Several Youngsters shortlisted for Placement, Benefits under Government Self- Employment Schemes showcased by Mission Yuva & HADP supported Entrepreneurs

SRINAGAR MARCH 23: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo on Monday presided over a one day Mega Job Fair at Kashmir Haat (Numaish Gah) Exhibition Ground, aimed at promoting employment opportunities, entrepreneurship and enhancing self-employment opportunities among the youth of the district.

Deputy Director Employment, Srinagar, Shubi Tabasum, District Employment Officer, Career Counselling Officer (CCO), other senior Officers from the Employment Department and other concerned also attended the event.

The job fair witnessed an overwhelming response from the youth who registered online for participation in the event.

        Around 22 companies with adequate vacancies in diverse sectors including Tourism, Agriculture, Horticulture,  Insurance, Banking, Automobile and Hospitality were part of this event offering a wide range of employment opportunities.

During the programme, the Deputy Commissioner inspected several stalls set up by government departments showcasing various self-employment schemes. These stalls provided detailed information on scheme benefits, financial assistance, and application procedures aimed at facilitating and encouraging aspiring entrepreneurs.

Addressing on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner underscored the importance of such job fairs in creating a direct interface between job providers and job seekers, thereby enabling placements, selections, and formal registration of unemployed youth with the Employment Department.

He further urged  youth to avail hassle-free credit facilities offered under key government initiatives such as Mission YUVA, HADP, and JKCIP.

 He reiterated that the District Administration is committed to extending all necessary support through the Employment Department to foster entrepreneurship across Srinagar.
