Kreeri, March 22: A 60-year-old man lost his life in a tragic road accident at Gousiya Colony, Wagoora, on Sunday afternoon.
According to official reports, a speeding vehicle struck a pedestrian in the area, leaving him critically injured. Soon after the incident, locals along with a police team from Police Post Wagoora rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Kreeri for treatment.
However, doctors at the hospital declared the victim brought dead.
The deceased has been identified as Gh Mohi-ud-Din Rather, a resident of Chanpora Wagoora.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and registered a case. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the accident.
