Calls for Unity, Compassion & Support For Local Businesses
Srinagar, 20 March, 2026: On the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, President of the Kashmir Bakers & Confectioners Association (KBCA), Mohammad Shahid Mir, has extended his heartfelt greetings to the people of Jammu & Kashmir and the entire Muslim Ummah.
In his message issued to the press, Shahid Mir conveyed warm wishes for peace, happiness and prosperity, expressing hope that this blessed festival brings joy to every home and strengthens the spirit of brotherhood, compassion and togetherness in society.
He highlighted that Eid is not only a celebration of faith and gratitude but also a time to care for the less fortunate and promote unity among communities. He urged people to uphold the true values of Eid by spreading kindness, helping those in need and fostering harmony across all sections of society.
Mohammad Shahid also emphasized the important role of the local bakery and confectionery sector during festive occasions, noting that bakers across Kashmir work tirelessly to ensure the availability of fresh, hygienic and high-quality products for the public. He appealed to the people to support local businesses, which are a vital part of the region’s economy and provide livelihood to thousands of families.
