Srinagar, Mar 20: Awami Itihaad Party (AIP) Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi on Friday extended warm greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, expressing hope that the festival brings peace, healing and dignity to every household.
In his message, Inam Un Nabi said Eid is not only a celebration after a month of patience and prayer, but also a moment to reflect on compassion, forgiveness and standing by those who continue to suffer. He urged the authorities to consider a humane and meaningful gesture by releasing Kashmiri prisoners, saying such a step would serve as a powerful confidence-building measure and restore faith among people. “Eid teaches us empathy and justice. Extending relief to families waiting for their loved ones will be the true spirit of this occasion,” he said.
Sharing the message of jailed Member of Parliament Er Rashid, Inam said that despite his incarceration, his commitment towards the people remains unwavering. “Er Rashid has conveyed that he will continue to raise the voice of the voiceless and highlight the issues of the people of Jammu and Kashmir at every available platform. He has reiterated that justice, dignity and dialogue must remain at the centre of our collective efforts,” he added.
Inam Un Nabi also expressed concern over the prevailing situation in Iran and prayed for peace and stability in the region. He said that at a time when parts of the world are witnessing tension and suffering, Eid should remind humanity of the need to move away from conflict towards compassion and coexistence.
