A day earlier, on March 17, Lt Gen Sharma visited various units and formations deployed in the hinterland as part of the counter-terrorism grid in the Kashmir Valley.
Senior commanders briefed him on the current operational dynamics, intelligence inputs, and coordination mechanisms with sister security agencies.
The Army Commander was also briefed at the Joint Control Centre in Budgam on coordinated efforts aimed at maintaining peace and security across the Valley.
