Jammu, Srinagar: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday extended warm greetings to the people on the auspicious occasions of Navreh, Chaitra Sukladi, Ugadi, GudiPadwa, Cheti Chand and Chaitra Navratri.
In his message, the Lieutenant Governor said these festivals, celebrated across the country, mark the beginning of the New Year and symbolize renewal of faith and hope. He expressed hope that the occasions would bring prosperity, peace and happiness to all, while promoting the spirit of oneness and harmony in society.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, in his greeting on Chaitra Navratri, said the festival signifies the triumph of truth, righteousness and virtue over evil. He extended his best wishes for the wellbeing, success and happiness of the people.
The Chief Minister also conveyed greetings to the Kashmiri Pandit community on the occasion of Navreh, expressing hope that the festivals would strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and inspire people to serve humanity with dedication.
Both leaders prayed for peace, prosperity and communal harmony across Jammu and Kashmir.
