Reasi :Under the visionary leadership of Chairman District Legal Services Authority, Reasi (also Pr. District and Sessions Judge Reasi) Khalil Choudhary and the able guidance of Secretary DLSA Reasi Pooja Gupta, an awareness programme on Legal Aid Clinics was Wednesday conducted by the Panel Lawyers/Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs) of TLSC Mahore at Dewal.
During the programme, the participants were made aware about the importance and functioning of Legal Aid Clinics, availability of free legal aid and assistance for the weaker sections of society and role of the Legal Services Authorities in ensuring access to justice for all.
The PLVs also informed the locals about various legal aid services, government welfare schemes and the procedure to approach Legal Aid Clinics for legal assistance. The participants were encouraged to make use of these facilities to resolve their legal issues and to spread awareness among others in their community.
Emphasis was laid on the availability of free legal services, the role of PLVs and how individuals can approach Legal Aid Clinics for assistance in legal matters. The attendees actively participated and appreciated the efforts of the Legal Services Authorities in spreading awareness about legal rights and remedies.
Another, a door-to-door awareness programme along with a plantation drive was conducted by the Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs) at Village Kotla. The programme was organized with the objective of spreading awareness among the local residents regarding the importance of environmental protection and sustainable living.
During the drive, the participants sensitized the villagers about the need to plant more trees, conserve natural resources and maintain ecological balance. Saplings were also distributed and planted at various locations in the village. The team visited households and interacted with the villagers, highlighting the role of community participation in environmental conservation. People were encouraged to take active part in plantation activities and to protect the environment for future generations.
