Ganderbal, Mar 18: The Jal Shakti Department has issued an important public notice asking consumers to clear their pending water taxes before March 31, 2026, to avoid disconnection of water supply.
According to the notice released by the Rural Water Supply Division Ganderbal, consumers have been advised to pay their outstanding dues within the stipulated deadline. The department warned that failure to comply will result in disconnection of tap connections without any further notice.
Officials said that multiple payment options have been made available for the convenience of the public. Consumers can pay their bills through the online portal, digital payment modes such as MPay and UPI, or offline at designated J&K Bank cash counters.
The department has also informed that outstanding dues can be cleared in instalments through online modes, providing relief to consumers facing financial constraints.
In addition, the notice highlighted that people can apply for new water connections or register their existing connections through the official online platforms.
