Srinagar/Jammu:Lieutenant GovernorManoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah have extended warm greetings to the people on the sacred occasion of Shab-e-Qadr (Lailat-ul-Qadr), being observed tonight.
In his message, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha conveyed his heartiest greetings and best wishes to the people, stating that the holy night epitomizes the virtues of selfless service, compassion and divine grace. He prayed that the Almighty accepts the prayers offered on this blessed night and continues to guide humanity on the path of love, unity and communal harmony.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, in his message, highlighted the immense spiritual significance of Shab-e-Qadr, observed during the last ten days of the holy month of Ramadan and regarded as a night of divine mercy, forgiveness and countless blessings.
He said the sacred night offers believers an opportunity to engage in prayers, seek forgiveness and strengthen their commitment to the values of compassion, humility and service to humanity.
The Chief Minister also expressed hope that the prayers offered on the blessed occasion would bring peace, prosperity and harmony to Jammu and Kashmir and the entire country.
Omar Abdullah urged people to remember the underprivileged and those in need and to uphold the spirit of unity, brotherhood and mutual respect that forms the essence of the holy month of Ramadan. He also prayed for the well-being of the people and wished that the blessings of the holy night bring peace, happiness and progress to every household.
