District-level Stakeholder Consultation Meet under RAMP held at Bandipora

Srinagar :District Industries Centre (DIC) Bandipora on Monday organised a District-level Stakeholder Consultation Meet under the RAMP (Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance) programme at Dak Bungalow Sumbal.

The programme witnessed the participation of officials from various line departments, representatives of banking institutions, and aspiring entrepreneurs from different areas of Sumbal block.

During the meeting, officers from the District Industries Centre highlighted various initiatives being undertaken by the government to promote entrepreneurship and strengthen the MSME sector in the district.

Participants were sensitised about different self-employment schemes including Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and other incentives aimed at supporting establishment of micro and small enterprises.

Resource persons also emphasised the importance of entrepreneurship in the present scenario and encouraged the youth to take advantage of available government schemes to establish sustainable livelihood ventures.

Representatives from different departments shared information about schemes related to agriculture, horticulture and allied sectors, while banking representatives briefed participants about credit facilities and financial assistance available under various government-sponsored schemes.

The programme concluded with an interactive session where participants raised queries regarding the schemes and were guided by the officials regarding procedures for availing benefits under different programmes.
