KATHUA :As part of its social outreach initiative, the 84 Bn CRPF, under the aegis of Jammu Sector CRPF, Monday organized an awareness programme at Government High School Chanderkote to promote NashaMukt Bharat Abhiyan.
The camp was inaugurated by Commandant N Ranbir Singh in the presence of Second in Command Vikram Singh, AssttCdt Shree Ram Meena, AssttCdt Rupesh Kumar, Headmaster Abdul Rehman and other prominent villagers.
Addressing the gathering, the Commandant stated that CRPF, besides performing security duties, undertakes various Civic Action Programmes to foster strong bond with the local populace and to contribute in nation-building.
He further stated that drug abuse not only destroys a person physically and mentally, but also devastates families and societies as well. Therefore, together, we all must say: “No to Drugs, Yes to Life”. More than 100 students participated in the program. Medical Officer 84 Bn CRPF Dr Biranmol Singh delivered a comprehensive talk on drug abuse, its ill effects and ways to overcome the same.
The Headmaster and students expressed their deep appreciation to the 84 Bn CRPF for organizing the awareness programme under NashaMukt Bharat Abhiyan in their School.
