Srinagar : In order to ensure smooth arrangements on the auspicious occasions of Shab-e-Qadr and Eid-ul-Fitr, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kupwara, Gulzar Ahmad Khan, today convened a meeting of all concerned officers in his office chamber to review the preparedness and arrangements being put in place by various departments.
ADC Handwara, Javed Naseem Masoodi was also present in the meeting.
ASP Kupwara, SDM Lolab, CMO, Tehsildars, AD FS&CA, AC Food Safety, Executive Officers from MCs, besides, Officers from PHE, KPDCL, Transport and RDD were present in the meeting.
During the meeting, the ADC reviewed department-wise preparations to facilitate the public during the holy nights and the upcoming festival of Eid-ul-Fitr. He emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts among departments to ensure that devotees and the general public do not face any inconvenience.
The officers from the line departments briefed the chair regarding the arrangements being made in their respective sectors.
The ADC directed the concerned departments to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply, proper sanitation around mosques and Eidgahs, availability of essential commodities in the markets, regulation of traffic, and adequate healthcare facilities during the observance of Shab-e-Qadr and Eid-ul-Fitr.
He also stressed on maintaining cleanliness in and around religious places, proper street lighting, and deployment of sufficient staff to address any public issues on priority.
The ADC urged officers to remain vigilant and work in close coordination so that the celebrations are conducted peacefully and smoothly across the district.
