Students urged to follow teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in personal and professional life

 

Pampore :Ramzaan College of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences, Galander Pampore, organized a Seerat Conference to highlight the life, character and teachings of Prophet Muhammad. The event brought together students and faculty members in an atmosphere of spiritual reflection and learning.

The conference aimed to inspire students by emphasizing that the Seerah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is not merely a historical account but a complete guide for humanity. Speakers highlighted that values such as compassion, honesty, patience, justice and kindness are essential for building a responsible and ethical society. They noted that these values are especially important for nursing students preparing for a profession rooted in service to humanity.

The programme began with the recitation of verses from the Quran by Hafiz Faheem Nazir, who recited a Ruku from Surah An-Naziat, creating a serene and reverent atmosphere. This was followed by a Naat recitation by Wani Arfat, a BSc Nursing student, who presented it with devotion.

Mudasir Maqbool, Tutor in the Department of Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing, delivered a Dars-e-Quran highlighting the relevance of Quranic teachings in everyday life. He stressed that following moral guidance from the Quran helps individuals develop ethical behaviour and contribute positively to society.

Zahid Majeed, Tutor in the Department of Pediatrics, spoke about the noble qualities that lead a person toward Allah’s blessings, including honesty, patience, charity, devotion to faith and service to humanity.

Principal Prof. JamsheedaZaroo, while addressing the gathering, said that the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) serves as an ideal example for mankind. She encouraged students to emulate his teachings in their personal and professional lives, emphasizing values such as honesty, patience, charity and dedication.

The conference also featured a student speech session. Aamina spoke about the Prophet’s mercy and exemplary character, while Aksa Farooq, a fourth-semester BSc Nursing student, highlighted his truthfulness and honesty from childhood and referred to the beginning of revelation in the Cave of Hira. Another student, Madeeha Rafiq, spoke about the Prophet’s character and stressed that honesty, patience and justice lead to success in this world and the hereafter.

The programme concluded with a quiz competition on Islamic knowledge. After several rounds, Group D comprising InshaIshaq and Sameer Ahmad Dar of BSc Nursing 2nd Semester emerged as winners.

The event ended with appreciation for the organizers, faculty and students who contributed to the success of the conference. The programme was coordinated by faculty members Mudasir Maqbool, Zahid Majeed and Mehak Nabi, who also anchored the event.
