Srinagar : Police on Saturday said that in collaboration with Geology and Mining Department a police party seized vehicles and machinery involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals during a late-night operation in Frasipora area.
In a statement issued here on Saturday Police said that during the raid four dumpers loaded with illegally extracted clay and one JCB excavator used for excavation were seized by it. In a separate incident, a dumper (JK13E-0777) driven by Mohd Maqbool Allai of Okhu Pulwama was intercepted at GabalporaHawal while transporting illegally extracted boulders. A case (FIR No. 31/2026) has been registered at Police Station Rajpora, and further legal action has been initiated.
