Srinagar : The Police Martyrs Volleyball Tournament organised by Ganderbal Police under the Civic Action Programme concluded with a grand finale at Chattergul in Kangan on Saturday.
The tournament, held in memory of police martyrs, saw participation of 16 teams from across Sub-Division Kangan. The final match was attended by SSP Ganderbal Khalil Ahmad Poswal, along with SDPO Kangan, other police officers, local elders and a large number of spectators.
In the final, Mukdampora Strikers Chattergul defeated Elite Volleyball Club Cherwan to lift the title. The winners and runners-up were awarded cash prizes, trophies and appreciation certificates.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Poswal highlighted the role of sports in promoting discipline, a healthy lifestyle and stronger police-public relations.
