Kupwara : Principal District & Sessions Judge (PD&SJ), Kupwara Chairman District Legal Services Authority) Kupwara, Manjeet Singh Manhas, Thursday inaugurated the newly established Legal Aid Care & Support Centre at Kralpora.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Secretary DLSA Kupwara, Javid Ahmad Parry, Munsiff Judge Kralpora, Mansoor Ahmad Mir, members of the legal fraternity, officials of the Legal Services Authority, and local residents.
Speaking on the occasion, the PD&SJ emphasized that the establishment of the Legal Aid Care & Support Centre at Kralpora will significantly enhance access to justice for the people of the area. He highlighted that the Centre will facilitate the delivery of free legal aid and services to eligible sections of society, particularly the underprivileged and marginalized.
He further stated that the initiative aims to bring legal assistance closer to the people and strengthen awareness about legal rights, alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, and the various schemes of the Legal Services Authority.
Officials of the District Legal Services Authority reiterated their commitment to providing timely legal support, organizing legal awareness programmes, and ensuring that justice is accessible to all sections of society.
The local community welcomed the establishment of the office and expressed hope that it will help address legal issues more efficiently and strengthen the rule of law in the region.
