Srinagar : The Jal Shakti PHE Department of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has urged consumers to clear their pending water usage charges, including outstanding balances, before March 31, 2026, officials said.
In a notification issued by the department, consumers have been advised to pay their dues within the stipulated deadline to avoid penalties and possible disconnection of water supply services. Officials said timely payment of bills would help ensure uninterrupted water supply and smooth functioning of the water distribution system. The notice, issued through the office of the Executive Engineer, Water Supply Master Plan Division Srinagar, also appealed to consumers to cooperate with the department by paying their bills promptly and supporting efforts to conserve water. The department warned that failure to clear outstanding dues before the deadline may result in penalties and suspension of water supply connections.
