Kupwara : On the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Shrikant Suse, Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Kupwara, Peerzada Mumtaz Ahmad Monday conducted an extensive visit to the Karnah Sub Division where he presided over a series of official and community-oriented programmes aimed at strengthening public services, promoting environmental responsibility and encouraging social awareness.
During the visit, a Cleanliness Drive was organized at Nallah Bata Maji, Tangdar coordinated by the Tehsildar KarnahMohd Amin, BDO, Executive Engineer PWD, BMO, ZEO and other officers. The drive witnessed enthusiastic participation from government officials, Police, students, local volunteers and other stakeholders from the area.
Col Sudeep Bose, Dy commander 104, Shakivijay Brigade alongwith students of AGS Hajinar also witnessed the cleanliness drive .
The initiative was aimed at promoting environmental awareness and maintaining hygiene around local water bodies. Participants actively engaged in cleaning the stream surroundings and removing waste to ensure a cleaner and healthier environment.
Later, a review meeting was held by ACR Kupwara (holding Additional charge of SDM karnah) at the Mini Secretariat Tangdar to assess the status of essential services across the Karnah Sub Division.
The meeting was attended by officers from various departments who briefed about the functioning of their respective sectors. He took stock of the availability and functioning of essential services including electricity, water supply, healthcare, education, road connectivity and other public utilities.
Later, he also attended a function organized in connection with International Women’s Day at Government Degree College Tangdar.
