DC reviews implementation of PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana in Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, MARCH 10: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Minga Sherpa today reviewed the implantation of PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana here at a meeting attended by officers from JPDCL, vendors and representatives from different agencies.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Jugal Kishore; Chief Planning Officer Uttam Singh; Executive Engineer JPDCL and other concerned officers.

At the outset, the Executive Engineer JPDCL presented a detailed overview of the implementation status of the scheme in the district. He apprised about the total number of applications received and approved, number of pending applications and installations completed till date.

While reviewing the progress, the DC sought feedback about the challenges being faced during the execution of the scheme. He stressed the need to launch door-to-door awareness campaign to sensitize the public about the benefits of the Yojana.

Emphasizing effective coordination, the DC directed the JPDCL and empanelled vendors to work in close coordination to bridge the gap between applications received and pending installations. He further instructed all concerned officers and vendors to intensify awareness activities to motivate people to avail the benefits of the flagship scheme.

 The DC also directed the vendors to expedite the installation of pending solar panels and ensure timely completion of all allotted cases so that the scheme reaches the maximum number of beneficiaries in the district.
