DC Reasi reviews implementation of Agriculture, Mission YUVA initiatives; status of revenue services

REASI, MARCH 10: Deputy Commissioner Reasi Kumar Abhishek today chaired a series of review meetings to assess the implementation of the Agriculture and Allied sector schemes, status of Revenue Department services, besides the progress achieved under Mission YUVA in the district.

The Deputy Commissioner assessed the ground impact of the schemes being implemented by Agriculture, Fisheries, Sericulture and Sheep Husbandry departments. Officers briefed the chair about the ongoing activities, achievements and targets under different government programmes aimed at enhancing agricultural productivity and increasing farmers’ income.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to intensify field visits and ensure that the benefits of government initiatives reach the farming community in a timely and transparent manner. He also asked the departments to achieve the assigned targets within the stipulated time frame.

Later, the Deputy Commissioner chaired a meeting to sensitise the Yuva Doots to their role and responsibilities in promoting Mission YUVA schemes. He highlighted the importance of Yuva Doots in creating awareness among the youth about self-employment opportunities and government support programmes.

Emphasising the need for close coordination between financial institutions and concerned departments, the Deputy Commissioner directed bankers to ensure the smooth and timely processing of applications submitted by beneficiaries under Mission YUVA. He further instructed the bankers to furnish valid and clear reasons for rejection of cases and ensure that eligible cases are approved without unnecessary delay.

Additionally, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the functioning of the Revenue Department in the district. He took a detailed review of key revenue matters including disposal of revenue cases, progress of digitisation of land records, land acquisition, mutation work and implementation of the revenue-related services.

Stressing the need for the timely disposal of pending cases, he directed the concerned officers to ensure transparency, efficiency and prompt service delivery to the public.

While reviewing the tehsil-wise progress of digitisation of Jamabandies, the Deputy Commissioner directed the officers to complete the process at the earliest. He also instructed them to redress the pending grievances on the JK Samadhan Portal promptly and ensure transparent and efficient delivery of revenue services.

ADDC Sukhdev Singh Samyal, ADC Rakesh Kumar, CPO Narinder Kumar, ACR Nitin Verma, SDMs of Mahore, Dharmari and Katra subdivisions, besides Tehsildars and other concerned officers were present in the meetings.
