*Emphasis on Strengthening Elementary Education; CEOs, ZEOs and Cluster Heads Directed to Intensify Field Visits*
*DSEK,Srinagar, 9th March,2026:* Following the reopening of schools after the winter vacation, Director School Education Kashmir (DSEK) *Naseer Ahmad Wani (JKAS)* today conducted a visit to schools located in the remote area of *Mir Behri, Dal Srinagar*, reaching some institutions on foot to assess the functioning of schools and interact with students and teachers.
During the visit, the Director inspected *Government Boys Middle School Moti Mohalla, Dal Kalan, Zone Nishat* and other nearby institutions. He warmly welcomed the students by distributing sweets and flower garlands, creating a cheerful atmosphere on the first days after reopening.
The Director interacted with young students and enquired about their activities during the winter break. He also held discussions with the teaching staff and emphasized that many students in the area belong to economically weaker sections, therefore teachers must extend additional academic attention and guidance to support their learning.
While briefing the media after the tour of the area, the Director stressed the importance of strengthening elementary education to ensure strong academic foundations for students across the Kashmir Division.
*“Elementary education forms the backbone of the entire learning process and we must ensure that our children receive the best possible guidance and support at the foundational level,”* the Director said.
He further directed Chief Education Officers (CEOs), Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs) and Cluster Heads across the Kashmir Division to undertake regular field visits, interact with students and teachers and closely monitor the academic functioning of schools in their respective jurisdictions to ensure quality education at the grassroots level.
