GDC Ramban organizes Elocution Contest on Road Safety Awareness

Jammu :Government Degree College RambanFriday organized an Elocution Contest on Road Safety as part of the Road Safety Awareness Programme 2026.

The event was held under the patronage of the College Principal   Prof. Romesh Kumar Atri. Ten students from different semesters participated and shared their thoughtful perspectives on road safety, emphasizing the importance of adhering to traffic rules while driving.A distinguished panel of jury members comprising Prof. Raj Kumar Gupta, Prof. Sanjay Kumar Katal and Dr.Rabinder Kumar evaluated the participants.ShafiaBano secured the first position, NishikaBhutiyal bagged the second place and Rashida Bano clinched the third place.Earlier, the event commenced with a welcome address by Convener Road Safety Awareness Programme, Dr. Sanjay Kumar, who set the tone for the contest.The event was attended by several faculty members including Prof. Aditya Sharma, Prof. Ajay Kumar, Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad Mir, Prof. Ranjit Singh Katoch, Prof. Ram Parkash, Prof. Neetu Sharma, Prof. Arjun Gupta, Dr. Anuj Gupta, Dr. Varun Sharma and Prof. Narotam Singh.
