Srinagar : Police on Friday said that it has arrested a drug peddler in Sopore and also recovered contraband substance from his possession.
In a statement issued here on Friday Police said that a police team from Police Station Tarzoo during naka checking at Krankshivan Colony in Sopore intercepted a suspect and seized SpasmoProxyvon Plus capsules from his possession. The individual has been identified as Mohammad Shabuddin, also known as Sbabu S/O Bashir Ahmad R/O Krankshivan Sopore. He has been arrested and is currently in custody at the police station. In response to this incident, a case has been registered under FIR No. 29/2026 at Police Station Tarzoo. The investigations aimed at uncovering the source of the drugs and any potential connections are underway. In its statement Police reiterated its commitment to zero-tolerance against drug trafficking strict law enforcement to protect youth and society from the dangers associated with drug abuse.
