Rajouri : Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, Chairperson Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board on Friday inaugurated a modern high-tech conference hall in Rajouri during her development tour of the district.
Accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma Dr Andrabi held a meeting to discuss preparations for upcoming religious events, including Eid-ul-Fitr, Juma-tul-Vida, and Shab-e-Qadr, with participation from various officials, religious scholars, and community leaders. During the meeting, Dr. Andrabi emphasized the importance of a coordinated work plan to ensure adequate arrangements for devotees and the public during the religious occasions. She expressed gratitude to Deputy Commissioner and district administration for their support to the Waqf Board. Additionally, she inaugurated a sanitary complex at Ziarat Abdul Rehman Shah (RA) and laid carpets at the Jamia Masjid in Fatehpur, Rajouri. Talking to reporters Dr. Andrabi highlighted the significant development work undertaken by the Waqf Board despite facing criticism. She said that the Board has implemented reforms to tackle long-standing issues related to the mismanagement of Waqf resources.
