ADC Budgam holds meeting to finalize arrangements for Wildlife Guard exam by JKSSB

Budgam : District administration Budgam, Thursday conducted a meeting in the conference hall Budgam to finalise the arrangements for OMR-based written examination for the post of Wildlife Guard (Forest Department), which is scheduled to be conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) on March 08, 2026.

The meeting was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Budgam, Mehraj-ud-din Shah and was attended by Additional Secretary, JKSSB, besides senior officers and officials from various departments. Among those present were DTO Budgam , DIO Budgam , ARTO Budgam , representatives from the Police, Education Department, Traffic Police, along with Centre Superintendents, Deputy Superintendents, Magistrates/Observers and Heads of Institutions of the designated examination centres.

During the meeting, the ADC reviewed in detail the arrangements being put in place for the conduct of the examination. He emphasized the need for close coordination among all departments to ensure the examination is conducted in a fair, transparent and smooth manner.

Threadbare discussions were held on key aspects including deployment of magistrates and observers, security arrangements, transportation, confidentiality of examination material, availability of basic facilities at examination centres, and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures issued for the examination.

The Additional Secretary, JKSSB, briefed the meeting about the examination guidelines, protocols to be followed at examination centres, and the responsibilities of the supervisory staff. He stressed strict adherence to the procedures laid down by the Board to ensure transparency and integrity in the conduct of the examination.

ADC Budgam directed all concerned officers to ensure that necessary arrangements including security, traffic regulation, and logistical support are put in place well in advance. He also instructed centre superintendents and other supervisory staff to remain vigilant and ensure that the examination is conducted smoothly without any inconvenience to the candidates.

All departments were asked to maintain close coordination and ensure timely deployment of staff and resources for the successful conduct of the examination across all designated centres in the District.
