The first workshop, titled “Higher Education in the Age of AI: Transforming Learning, Research & Innovation,” was held on 26 February. It explored the transformative impact of AI on teaching, research, innovation ecosystems, and academic governance. Deliberations were held on AI-enabled pedagogy, research automation tools, interdisciplinary collaboration, data-driven decision-making, and ethical considerations in integrating AI within higher education institutions.

The programme featured expert lectures by  Puneet Goyal from IIT Ropar,  Rajasekhar from the National Informatics Centre, and  Hari Krishna Maram, Chairman of Vision Digital India. The speakers highlighted emerging AI technologies, national digital initiatives, innovation strategies, and the need for robust industry–academia collaboration to prepare future-ready graduates.

Faculty members actively participated in discussions aimed at strengthening the academic framework. The curriculum design sessions were conducted in alignment with the AICTE model curriculum and industry perspectives, in accordance with the guidelines of the Vice Chancellor.
