He directed officers to adopt a strict and uncompromising approach against terrorists and their support networks, reiterating zero tolerance towards terrorism. Emphasis was laid on enhanced intelligence-based operations, proactive policing, and stronger coordination among units. He also stressed the crucial role of police stations and posts in counter-terror operations and highlighted the need to ensure robust security arrangements for tourists.

Appreciating the efforts of officers and jawans, the DGP urged all ranks to remain alert, disciplined, and mission-oriented to maintain peace and stability in the district.

Earlier in the day, the DGP inaugurated three newly constructed buildings at Police Station Gulmarg — the SHO Residence Block, Mess and Barracks Block, and Transit Accommodation Block. The DGP also inaugurated new buildings at the newly established SOG Camp at Baderkote (PS Tangmarg). Interacting with officers and jawans, he appreciated their dedication and professionalism and encouraged them to continue their duties with vigilance and high morale. He noted that the SOG Camp at Baderkote will augment security arrangements and operational capability in the area, which is fast emerging as a major tourist hotspot.
