14 Vaccination Centres set up to immunise 11364 eligible girls in Distt

 

Anantnag:  Deputy Commissioner (Chairman District Task Force Committee), Anantnag, Dr. Bilal Mohiud Din Bhat, Friday chaired the meeting of DTFC to review and finalise the implementation plan and arrangements for the Human Papilloma Virus(HPV) Vaccination Program which shall commence on 28th February in the district.

The meeting was attended by CMO, CPO, Dy CMO, CEO, BMOs, Hospital Superintendents, DIO NIC, representatives from ICDS and other concerned officers and officials.

Through a detailed presentation, the CMO briefed the chair about implementation plan and arrangements that have been put in place to ensure smooth vaccination of the target population. It was informed that 14 Designated Vaccination Centres(DVCs) including major hospitals have been set up to immunize 11364 girls in age group of 14-15 years across the district.

Besides, nodal officers have been appointed for all DVCs and 370 workers including 216 vaccinators, 40 CCHs and 54 others received the necessary training for smooth and time-bound vaccination process.

Addressing the meeting, the DC impressed upon the officers to ensure seamless execution of the vaccination plan through proper coordination and monitoring. He further stressed on adherence to SOPs and cold chain facilities especially in remote and far off places adding that the eligible girls shall be adequately mobilised by the Education and ICDS Departments.
